You take me higher like the universe that rises to meet my every desire.

For it is written;

Your wish is my command!


Your kindness, power and cheer brilliance captivates me. It makes me reach endlessness, time and time and time again.


I feel safe with you in this world, the very same way grandfather Nelson Mandela makes so many of us feel.

Safe, loved and protected!


You inspire me, I find myself bursting through the seams with new energy, time after time!


Your beauty soothes me

(the same way I've been soothed by Dr Martin Luther King's love and beauty, Nelson Mandela's spirit of ubuntu(humility), my grandparent's spirit of greater love and many others who share this quality,)

I read that your grandmother thought you were a genius. She saw this beauty in you way before any of us ever dreamt that we'd see an African American President in the United States of America. A president who's father is from Kenya, the African Continent associated with pitch black darkness through world affairs. I'm reminded of Nathaniel who voiced out his shock at the exceeding and majestic greatness of Lord Jesus Christ!

God is the creator who chooses what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are. Corinthians


I also read that your mother believed that you would achieve greatness in your life helping others. It is written that those at the very top end of range for example geniuses become leaders and great achievers of their generation. Prophetic granny!


Wikipedia explains further that greatness is a concept of a state of superiority affecting a person, object, or place. Greatness can also be referred to individuals who possess a natural ability to be better than all others. You are a man of Ubuntu (humility) indeed Mr President. And this is what inspires me greatly about you.


Its Friday night. The night is young. I'm about to put on my dancing shoes and dance the night away. Rotating my tiny waist 360 degrees, jumping up and down, kicking my legs sky high, loosing myself in the passion of dance. Wigling, till I feel the blood circulation flowing swiftly through my vains. And finally, I'll slow down slowly, landing softly and gently on mother earth, my playground, with poise, dignity and gladness in my heart, in celebration of mothers who are the greatest spiritual teachers of the world in Oprah's words.


One's life it seems is much deeper than a human mind can conceive.

One's name entails promises, hopes and dreams that must be fulfilled at the appointed hour.


Mr President, your name as we all know by now means blessing. You carry the same blessing God bestowed upon Abraham.


"...I'll make you a great nation

   And bless you.

   I'll make you famous;

   You'll be a blessing.

   I'll bless those who bless you;

   Those who curse you I'll curse

   All the families of the Earth

   Will be blessed through you."


I read that God doesn't make any mistakes. He plans everything carefully, paying attention to fine details. He choosing parents with specific DNA who will give birth to a child with specific qualities for a specific purpose. Mhhhh!!! How great is thou love and thy plans!


You said, "The only way I could have a sturdy sense of identity of who I was depended on digging beneath the surface differences of people."


Ultimately we come from the same place, we desire the same things therefore in Maya Angelou's words;

we are much more alike than we differ. So its clear to me that some who don't quite fit in will be more universal than others. Perhaps their greatest task lies in uniting people from all walks of life.


You continue to reveal sudden utterances of the soul one hears from a praise singer or a poet. They begin as sweet murmurs, whispers then prayerful outburst! We experience this phenomenon through the power and weight of the following sentence as you explain that;


"The only way my life makes sense is if regardless of culture, race, religion, tribe, there is this commonality, these essential human truths and hopes and moral precepts that are universal."


I honor you deeply in the words of Saint David, the man who was known to be the most popular singer in Israel because, this too is your regime in my eyes as much as it was his;


"Whoever governs fairly and well, who rules in the Fear-of-God,

Is like first light at daybreak

Without a cloud in the sky,

Like green grass carpeting earth

Glistening under fresh rain."


People need genuine kindness. The only thing that will change our world for the better continues to be the four letter word, L.O.V.E. Love in all its fullness, splendor and grandeur. Unspoken love seen through one's actions, felt in the spirit for love is energy. The kind that inspires and cause the heart to skip a beat! The kind that  makes the heart thrill, swell and exult at the mere thought and sound of a loved one. (Sweet giggles)


I honor you because you genuinely respect and appreciate people, you care deeply and you cherish humanity at large.


It never ceases to delight one when one reads about these deliberate and spontaneous acts of kindness that map out one's journey. A journey marked with sacrifice, dedication, discipline, sheer hard work, sadness, hope and joy. Ultimately a journey of courage and triumph over fear.


Several years ago a writer wrote;


"He (President Obama) became a community organizer for a small Chicago church-based group for three years, helping poor South Side residents cope with a wave of plant closings. He then attended Harvard Law School, and in 1990 became the first African-American editor of the Harvard Law Review. He turned down a prestigious judicial clerkship, choosing instead to practice civil-rights law back in Chicago, representing victims of housing and employment discrimination and working on voting-rights legislation."


When you care for others we see that God moves and makes a way where there seems to be no way.

I was given a special prayer for you the minute you answered that special Call from heavenly places, about the special task you were chosen to perform. You knew it wouldn't be easy, yet you continued because you are the Royal Son, Abraham's seed, the Crown Prince heir to the promise. The Prince who won't rest until he fulfills what he has been called to fulfill. This call is an answered prayer for many who never lived to experience the fruits of their labour and sacrifices. Their presence is however always shining ever so brightly in our lives.


They must have known and  believed like Mahatma Ghandi who once said;


"When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they can seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall. Think of it--always.


God smiled brighter than the moon and the stars, he smiled brighter than all the luminaries combined as you whispered YES YES YES in your heart of hearts, promising to take a chance not knowing how things would eventually turn out to be. Not only did you say yes, you also whispered with a conviction in your spirit;


"As the hart panteth after the water brooks, So panteth my soul after thee, O God." Psalms

Thus surrendering to He who chose you, knowing that he is the way, the life the truth. He who makes a way where there seems to be no way.


With moans and groans you prayed, pledged,  entered into a mighty covenant with God, in the presence of his heavenly hosts. You  uttered words in a language known to the soul as you ascended, taking your rightful position, seated in heavenly places with Christ as an ordained son of the Most High. A special ceremony was conducted. You were sworn in, inaugurated and anointed in heavenly places first and foremost, for it is done on earth as it is done in heaven!


God of the Angels, Arch Angels and all his heavenly hosts combined declared;

"I am the one who helps you. As they embraced you, empowered you and met all your spiritual needs."


God marveled at your strength and boldness when you declared that you will be running to become the President of The United States of America. You seem to have known deep down in the recesses of your soul, with a far greater understanding that it doesn't serve the world to play small when you are created in the likeness and image of your creator who feeds you manna from heaven. The God who opens rocks and water gushes out flowing through deserts like rivers.


You seem to have known innately that you were created to accomplish whatever you so desire. I believe that nothing could be more pleasing to the creator than a human being who doesn't doubt, a human being who knows fully well that the master is thy helper thus demonstrates that faith through words, thoughts and deeds.


Who better than Thomas Jefferson to articulate so exquisitely that;


We hold these truths to be self evident that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights. That among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.


The poet Goeth also explains that;


“Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back — concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth that ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans:


that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favor all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamed would have come his way.


Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it. Begin it now.“


As you march on full of hope and belief that all will be just fine remember that you are never ever alone. Remember that you are empowered and strengthened by him who declares that;

You shall thresh the mountains and crush them,

And you shall make the hills like chaff;

I see you rise higher and higher, moving from strength to strength regardless of what may be happening in the present moment. With power and dignity you continue to restore hope to the hopeless, giving glimmers of light to those who walk in pitch black darkness. Through your words  you embrace us, you guide us taking us to greener pastures like a shepherd who recognizes that there are sheeps who will always need an unselfish leader to show them the way. A leader who's delight lies in seeing others realize their fullest potential.


You utter heart wrenching words that answer the prayers of countless souls. For many are they who are in need of love, peace and protection.


On March 30, 2009 in Washington DC you said;


"I can't promise you there isn't more difficulty to come. But what I can promise is this: I WILL FIGHT FOR YOU. You're the reason I'm here today. I got my start fighting for working families in the shadows of shuttered steel plant. I wake up every single day asking myself what can I do to give you and working people all across this country a fair shot at the American Dream."


And I prayed;


Give the gift of wise rule to the king, O God,

the gift of just rule to the crown prince.

May he judge your people rightly,

be honorable to your meek and lowly.

Let the mountains give exuberant witness;

shape the hills with the contours of right living.

Please stand up for the poor,

help the children of the needy,

come down hard on the cruel tyrants.

Outlast the sun, outlive the moon—

age after age after age.

Be rainfall on cut grass,

earth-refreshing rain showers.

Let righteousness burst into blossom

and peace abound until the moon fades to nothing.

I thank you President Barack Obama for being one of my HEROES! May the good Lord continue to protect you. May He continue to reveal his arm to you and may He continue to bless you, guide you and lead you beside still waters and restore your soul. May He continue to watch over your comings and goings revealing to you unknown truths. May He protect and bless your entire family.


John F. Kennedy once said;

“Victory has a thousand fathers, but defeat is an orphan."


In God we pray for enduring strength so that we may never ever give up being all that we were created to be.

In this world orphans don't have it easy but we pray for many President Barack Obamas, Nelson Mandelas, Walter Sisulus, Oliver Tambos to walk this earth. Proclaiming good news to the poor. Proclaiming liberty to the captives, recovery of sight to the blind, setting at liberty those who are oppressed and proclaiming the year of the Lord's favor. Saint Luke
