Malia and Sasha Obama

Dear Malia and Sasha

Do you remember these words from the letter that your father wrote to you?   ( http://www.parade.com/37592/parade/barack-obama-a-letter-to-my-daughters/  )

"...I realized that my own life wouldn't count for much unless I was able to ensure that you had every opportunity for happiness and fulfillment in yours. In the end girls, that's why I ran for President: because of what I want for you and for every child in this nation. To grow up in a world with no limits on your dreams and no achievements beyond your reach, and to grow into compassionate, committed women who will help build that world."

I have been under pressure to create this latest piece of Art work because it is extremely important. It is inspired by your very first trip to South Africa. I loved seeing you and your mother very much. Your presence alone blessed our country in ways you may never know.

I'm filled with gratitude to your parents for the love they continue to bestow upon you and all children everywhere. You are lovely, friendly, intelligent and beautiful children. Of course you are a bit older now than you were then.

I thank you for reading to the children of Soweto as well as other children that you continue to bless with everything you continue to do. Most children here do not have anybody to read to them. The greatest gift one can give another is the gift of expanding their world beyond their everyday realities. It doesn't get better than traveling and reading. Excellence changes one completely. One is able to stay focused and never give up until they fulfill their calling on earth. There are many examples of great man and women in our world who won great victories for themselves, thus their nations and the world, because they dared to dream, thus marched on like Dr Martin Luther King. Your father is one of these great human beings and so is your mother.

What is so special about what you and your parents continue to do, is that you became one with places and the people you bless with your visit. You are humble, thus others feel ten feet tall in your presence. You will never fully comprehend what a great quality this is and how wonderful it is to God. One changes one's life through the power of love and you do this time after time, so seamlessly, with so much grace and style. It's so natural. I love seeing you on tv. :-) Just to feel all that love! :-) (ear to ear smile) :-)

Some people from our country seek funds and donors overseas saying that they will support artist at large, the poor, the sick and so forth. Most times the money goes into their own pockets. In my work nobody ever supported me with any funds except for Nosimo Bhalindlela, former Premia of the Eastern Cape Province, who also worked as an Arts an Culture Minister before she was appointed as a Premia of the Province. She was extremely captivated by what I had achieved on my own. (To name just two, I produced a story for our news channel with the journalist who came to interview me. The story was bought by major networks globally, thus my art, poetry, and pure joy was experienced in the living rooms of most people who saw the story around the world.

I also launched my very first exhibition in the township because most people neglect to plant, build and to truly empower disadvantaged areas.)

With Nosomo's help I traveled to the home of Nelson Mandela in the rural areas and exhibited art, taught poetry, our history and culture. I also danced away and sang with those children. The teachers thanked me a lot and included my teachings in their curriculum. I know how rare it is to have an experience such as the one I gave them. They said I was God sent to them because they had been praying for someone to teach, enrich and expose children to different forms of Art. God heard their prayers!  I felt blessed beyond measure! The kids cooed, and made this joyful noise that made me weep. They touched the core of my soul. I organized the entire trip on my own, traveled alone and the Lord was with me every step of the way.

Dreams From My Father gave me the extra energy I needed to fulfill this task. That book was God sent to me! I can't tell you just how transcendent I felt because the world didn't feel so lonely any longer. After all I wasn't such an outsider. Mhhhhh!!! What a difference one can make in one's life.

Thank You Mr President for sharing your story.

It is my calling to enrich nations, rich, poor, young, old and all races through my God given talents. I've come to bless and to heal the earth and the human spirit.

I have given my work to prominent leaders in my country in hopes that they would jump at the opportunity of supporting a young person who's desire lies in building the nation! Not so, instead they take take take, use  one's work for their own good! All they do is to discourage even if they seem a bit interested at first! Instead of building, they destroy! If they say they supported me in any way its a lie. And my case is not isolated. They will stop at nothing to prevent honorable man and women who want to meet fearless young people like myself because they don't want the truth to come out! I say this because I love this country and the children who's lives must never ever be robbed of opportunities they deserve, the same way apartheid pioneers did. Our downfall will be the day we keep quiet and turn a blind eye on corruption!

I'm always guided by the light that illuminates from the power of these words, spoken by Nelson Mandela during our darkest hour of oppression;

"I have fought against white domination, and I have fought against black domination. I have cherished the ideal of a democratic and free society in which all persons live together in harmony and with equal opportunities. It is an ideal which I hope to live for and to achieve. But if needs be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die."

Sponsors and donors need to make sure that they have eyes and ears on the ground. Before giving out your funds please do some thorough research preferably give directly to the people in need. Well meaning human beings have done and continue to ill treat, victimize and violate masses. Its not acceptable! Please don't look at the name and the outer appearance of a man, search the motives and look at the true character of a man. People change, sometimes from being good, trustworthy and honorable to being right down mean and extremely cruel. We must at all times dedicate ourselves to seeking the truth and finding out what the real situation is in whatever circumstances we encounter. Let no one deceive you, not even one you think is trustworthy. Only be led by God and the Holy Spirit.

I say these things to you and children everywhere Malia and Sasha. I'm also making honorable men and women aware, who are eager to extend a helping hand. This country will not flourish as long as there are people who's job is to steal and take advantage of the poor and vulnerable simply because they believe no one will know. One can fool some people sometimes but one can't fool all people all the time. Truth pushed down, will rise again! What they did to overthrow apartheid will always be honorable, who hasn't suffered though? We fed up with these money mongers bullies in powerful positions who are using those position to steal from the poor and the victims of apartheid simply because the poor have no voice.

Enough is Enough!

Thank You so much for you First Lady,Mr President, your children and your family and sweet spirited human beings everywhere who continue to uplift, enrich and empower.

You are God's ambassadors. You'll always be blessed in your comings and goings all the days of your lives. Because God loves you and His eyes are forever watching over you.

I am blessed beyond measure to be sharing this planet with you. Have fun, be happy, sing, dance, laugh, smile and continue to bless us with your God Given Talents.

In my velvety deep voice, I whisper,

You know nobody's gonna invite an outspoken, sweet spirited and joyous Poet who has a voice, and they will dissuade anyone who so desires!

Ha ha ha! :-)

Well Sojourner Truth reminds me that the same sentiment was once echoed;

"Don't let her speak, it will ruin us!"

My only answer is;

"We shall see when the time comes."

I'm tickled silly at all that is happening. My eyes are watering from all this deep seated laughter! I thank God who has a mighty fine sense of humor. The God who doesn't sleep nor doses! The God of Mighty Revelations.

"I will show you marvelous and wonderful things, that you know nothing about." Jeremiah

All the Best.

Lots and lots of love and hugs.

Your,

Babalwa.
